Social Media Strategy

TIMELINE: ABOUT 4-5 WEEKS

AVAILABLE FOR: FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM

Are you struggling to make an impact on social media? Are you unsure of how to effectively reach and engage your target audience? Then a social media strategy service can help.

I offer a comprehensive approach to creating and implementing a strategy tailored to your business needs and goals. Just imagine a consistent and effective social media presence that brings results. With a strong social media strategy your business can achieve this and more.

Perfect for those brands and businesses that don’t have a clear direction for their social media, don’t know where and how to start communicating to their target audience, and how to reach their business goals using social media channels.

What you can expect

The drafting of the strategy usually follows a clear step-by-step framework. However, all businesses have unique needs. Your social media strategy proposal will depend on a few different factors, such as your business goals and whether or not you already have the necessary brand strategy foundations.

My social media strategy service goes far beyond “tips and tricks” or quick-fix tactics. It’s built on marketing fundamentals that existed for many years and not fleeting trends, so that you can establish a foundation that will strengthen your business and resonate with your audience for the long term.

This isn’t a quick content calendar for the month – it’s a powerful framework that can guide your social media efforts year after year, serving as the solid “bones” of your online presence. When it’s time to refresh your approach, you’ll be able to come back to this strategy as a map you can use to draft a new one.

If you’re interested in seeing a personalised social media strategy proposal specifically for your small business, reach out and let’s elevate your small business social media game!

What you'll get

After the social media strategy service is completed you’ll receive:

  • A beautifully presented social media strategy document you can use yourself, but also share with your social media manager and other members of your marketing team
  • All of the complementary spreadsheet templates for staying on top of your social media efforts (e.g. monthly content plan template, analytics and performance tracker templates, and others when applicable)
  • The knowledge of exactly what to do in order to see results
  • Email support for a period of one month when you can ask me any questions regarding the strategy

The process

The strategy drafting process will be done during and in-between an agreed number of one-on-one consultations. The consultations will be for me to get to know your business and its needs better and to get your inputs on where you want to take it. It’s important for me that the strategy doesn’t include things you would not be comfortable with executing.

After the strategy is done, you’ll receive it via email, together with any of its complementaries and the consultation period begins.

    Brand Strategy

    TIMELINE: ABOUT 4-5 WEEKS

Let me bust one myth: brand strategy isn’t just for big companies. After all, a well-defined brand strategy allows your business to create a cohesive and memorable impression in the minds of customers, helping you stand out with clarity and purpose among your competitors – whether you are big or small.

Think of brand strategy as the “what” to marketing’s “how”. It works as the guiding framework that shapes your business’s voice, values, and the messaging you want to put out there. So, without a solid brand strategy, even the best marketing plans fall short, lacking the soul and direction that make your business resonate.

I also think that a brand strategy for a small business serves as a lifeline. When times get tough, it becomes your source of motivation and a roadmap to help you recalibrate, renew your focus, and forge a new path forward by reminding you of the vision and mission you set for yourself.

The clients that worked with me on their brand strategy defined this service in one word: clarity.

    What you can expect

The brand strategy service is designed to adapt to your small business’s unique needs. Some clients come to me with elements like a target audience or competitor analysis already defined, while others have only the visual branding (logo, photos, colors) in place. This service meets you where you are, filling in any gaps to establish a solid foundation.

Brand strategy focuses on – among many other things – your brand’s voice, values, and messaging – not the visual elements (like logos or colours), which come later as part of visual identity. Having a brand strategy first provides clear direction, ensuring your visual identity has purpose and aligns with your brand’s core message.

I introduced this service after seeing many small businesses dive into marketing without defining essential brand elements. Without knowing who you’re speaking to, what value you offer, or how you’re different, even the best marketing can deliver mediocre and unsatisfactory results.

    What you'll get

After the brand strategy service is completed you’ll receive:

    • A beautifully presented brand strategy document you can use yourself, but also share parts of with a photographer and a graphic designer when you need to create your visual identity. The document is in the form of an editable Canva document, so that once you have your visual identity defined you can customise it with your own colours, fonts, and photos
    • The clarity about your business that you can use not only in your online communication, but in networking events, webinars, conventions, and traditional marketing efforts
    • Email support for a period of one month when you can ask me any questions regarding the strategy

    The process

The strategy crafting process will be done during two 2-hour in-person or online workshops. During the workshops we talk about your business and you as the founder. I try to make it as relaxing as possible – you don’t have to prepare anything, it’s just like a conversation you might have with a friend where you’re gushing about your small business and your plans for it.

After and in-between the workshops I work on the strategy document based on our conversation. I then send you the first draft once it’s ready and you can provide feedback and whether you want to change anything.

Once all the changes are implemented, you’ll receive the final version via email and the consultation period begins.

    01

    Send an enquiry

Contact me via the contact form or directly via my email and let’s chat about your unique small business needs and what I can offer in terms of services.

Note: This 3-part process doesn’t apply to the marketing consultation service, only the strategy services.

    02

    Provide info

After our initial conversation, you’ll receive a form to fill out where I ask some specific questions about your business and its needs, so that I can prepare a custom proposal.

    03

    Receive a proposal

About a week after your form has been filled out, you’ll receive a personalised proposal from me, including specific deliverables and the investment required. The proposal is non-binding and free, you don’t have to go forward with it if you change your mind.

    Some FAQs

    01. What can I expect during a discovery call?

My discovery calls are easy-going and relaxed conversations about your business and what pain points it has. The idea is for us to get to know each other a little bit and see whether I could help you with your particular marketing issues. It can happen that I might not be able to help you, but perhaps I could suggest a next step that you could take. These calls are not binding and totally free. I’m not going to go all sales-y on you – that’s just not my approach.

    02. What are your qualifications? WHAT'S your story?

I’m a linguistics and communication graduate, but that’s the boring bit. I started my career in marketing as a social media manager for a small Copenhagen-based business, where I was allowed to go wild and try out many different things (thanks, Monica, if you’re reading this!). That was back in 2019, so I’m not a pandemic-made marketer and it was extremely interesting to see how marketing shifted in 2020. Goodbye, successful paid ad campaigns for just a few dollars…

After that, I did a myriad of courses and workshops to raise my qualifications and, after moving to Switzerland, started working for the local startup association as their marketing person. I’m saying “marketing person”, because if you know the startup world, you know that you have to wear many hats. I was responsible for social media, the blog, the newsletter, the visual templates, and also one informal event series for startup founders. It was a fun time and a time that taught me tons, so I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunity.

During the time between 2019 and 2023, I shadowed other marketers, took part in marketing convos, was allowed to peek into and help with campaign creation, various launches, and running paid ads.

I”ve launched Social Fieldnotes in early 2023 and until now met so many awesome Swiss small business owners, founded by both native Swiss and expats, and it’s been quite a journey. A journey of many feels, as small businesses have so much drive and passion for what they do that it’s nearly impossible not to root for them. There’s magic in small businesses. And that’s what inspires me every day to do what I do.

    03. Do you no longer do social media management?

At the moment, the social media management service is not available, but keep an eye on my website or – better yet – subscribe to my email list to learn when it comes back on offer again.

    04. Do you offer other services not listed here?

The offers above are my most popular services. However, depending on your needs, I can offer some bespoke services, such as setting up a paid ads strategy, running paid Meta ads, social media marketing mentorship, and support overseeing social media campaign launches.

    04. Do you oNLY work with certain type of businesses?

I know that “niching” was popular before and that some social media specialists have only a few types of businesses they work with, but I personally embrace and welcome all types of small businesses.

There’s a very simple reason for that – I’m not just a social media manager, I’m a social media marketer. Want to know a secret? Marketing foundations are the same for all types of businesses, only smaller nuances matter. In any case, two hair salons will not use the same social media strategy and if they did – they would get different results. Marketing is experimentation and it’s testing-monitoring-testing-monitoring-testing… you get it. You can no longer use the same strategies and tactics for every business. Your actions have to be bespoke.

    06. How do I know what I need as a business?

Just ask! If I can help you, I could offer you one of my services and if I can’t help you – I might direct you to someone who can. Either way, if you have questions, don’t hesitate. I’m here to help.

Ready to unlock the full potential of your small business?

If any of my services caught your eye or you’re in need of something bespoke, get in touch and let’s talk!
